Creating realistic nerve agent victim profiles for computer simulation of medical CBRN disaster response

In the last decades, Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) threats have become serious risks prompting countries to prioritize preparedness for such incidents. As CBRN scenarios are very difficult expensive recreate in real life, computer simulation is particularly suited assessing effectiveness of contingency plans identifying areas improvement. These exercises require realistic dynamic victim profiles, which unavailable a civilian context. this paper we present set nerve agent injury profiles consisting clinical parameters their evolution, as well methodology used create them. based on military adapted population, using sarin purpose illustration. They include commonly measured prehospital setting. We demonstrate that information found sources can easily be adjusted population few simple assumptions validated methods. This expanded other chemical warfare agents different ways exposure. The resulting generic so they also tabletop live exercises. Modeling simulation, if correctly conjunction with empirical data gathered from lessons learned, assist providing evidence practices effective efficient response decisions interventions, considering contextual factors affected area specific disaster scenario.
